AC Shadows Introduces Bizarre Attack on Titan Event for Holiday Season
In a bizarre partnership that challenges traditional predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Disclosed
According to the official release, "An unusual confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome changes reverberate through the darkness." The narrative presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret group.
The adventure centers on "bizarre tests and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Metamorphoses
The trailer highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview ends with a powerful scene showing a character, presumably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Additional Material
Players who finish the quest will acquire an exclusive katana together with multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-based costume for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe
- Exclusive weapons
- Survey Corps steed
Latest Free Story Content
This patch also brings the game's newest no-cost story episode, titled "A Puzzlement." This humorous adventure pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they swap signature techniques: Naoe debuts a theatrical variation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires subduing stealth takedowns. Loyal to its name, "The Enigma" also contains a original environmental puzzle that may ultimately clarify some lingering questions from the main storyline.

This represents not the initial time the Assassin's Creed franchise has partnered with famous anime series. The series formerly included a 2020 collaborative story connecting Assassin's Creed: Valhalla with Makoto Yukimura's Vinland Saga.
